چکیده
In Taiwan, the mushroom Antrodia camphorata (AC) is used for medicinal purposes, including cancer prevention and treatment. This study aimed to investigate effect of AC-supplemented diets on innate immunity disease resistance orange-spotted grouper Epinephelus coioides against two bacterial infections—Vibrio alginolyticus Streptococcus iniae. Orange-spotted groupers were fed at 0 (control), 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 6.0 g kg−1 28 days examined immune responses survival rates V. S. The results showed that cellular humoral parameters, respiratory burst, phagocytic activity, lysozyme activity leukocytes, along with serum alternative complement (ACH50) superoxide dismutase as well interleukin (IL)-4 IL-6, all significantly increased in diets. Groupers containing AC doses higher than 3.0 had better control group 3–18 after or iniae challenge. enhanced may be attributable AC-induced immunity, suggesting utilizing a dietary supplement enhance Vibrio infection.

متن کاملDietary sodium alginate administration affects fingerling growth and resistance to Streptococcus sp. and iridovirus, and juvenile non-specific immune responses of the orange-spotted grouper, Epinephelus coioides.
The percent weight gain (PWG) and feeding efficiency (FE) of fingerling orange-spotted grouper, Epinephelus coioides, fed diets containing sodium alginate at 1.0 and 2.0 g kg(-1) were calculated on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th weeks after feeding. Survival rates of the fingerling grouper against Streptococcus sp. and an iridovirus, and non-specific immune parameters such as alternative complement...
